IAYP Exploration Journey

The International Award for Young People (IAYP) Exploration Journey by Shape Ventures offers students a structured, experiential learning opportunity that develops character, confidence, and essential life skills. Rooted in adventure, sustainability, and community engagement, the journey aligns fully with the IAYP framework while encouraging independent thinking and teamwork.

Bronze IAYP Exploration Journey

The Bronze Exploration Journey enables participants to discover, observe, explore, and reflect in real-world environments. In accordance with IAYP guidelines, two-thirds of the purposeful effort is dedicated to observation, research, and information gathering, while the remaining time focuses on journeying and field exploration.

Key Focus Areas

Sustainable farming and rural livelihoods
Water resource management
Livestock care and agricultural practices
Eco-friendly initiatives such as composting and vermiculture
Local culture, traditions, and community interaction

Learning Outcomes

Participants will:

Develop leadership, teamwork, and resilience through shared responsibilities
Build navigation, observation, logbook writing, and field documentation skills
Gain awareness of sustainability and human–environment relationships
Foster empathy, cultural understanding, and social responsibility

CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service)

The CAS programme by Shape Ventures supports IB learners in achieving meaningful personal growth through a balanced approach to Creativity, Activity, and Service. Our CAS experiences are purposefully designed to meet IB learning outcomes while encouraging reflection, initiative, and community engagement.

Arts-based workshops and cultural exploration programs
Photography, storytelling, journaling, and documentation during journeys
Problem-solving tasks and project planning activities

Activity

Adventure-based physical activities such as trekking, hiking, orienteering, and team challenges
Sports-based learning modules promoting fitness, teamwork, and resilience
Outdoor survival skills and movement-based exploration

Service

Community engagement with rural and local populations
Environmental conservation initiatives and sustainability projects
Awareness drives related to health, hygiene, and environmental responsibility
